Testing Engineer (QA / Software Test Engineer)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Testing Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality through the design and execution of comprehensive test plans. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify defects, streamline the development lifecycle, and deliver robust, high-quality solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Lifecycle Management: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts based on functional requirements.
• Execution: Perform comprehensive manual and automated testing across various platforms.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects using industry-standard management tools; verify fixes and perform regression testing.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct integration, system, regression, and performance testing to ensure end-to-end product stability.
• Collaboration: Partner with developers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and provide feedback during requirement reviews.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all products comply with internal quality standards and prepare detailed test summary reports for management.

Technical Competencies

• Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) within an Agile environment.
• Automation: Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Programming: Proficiency in Java or Python.
• API Testing: Practical knowledge of Postman or REST Assured.
• Database: Foundational knowledge of SQL for data verification and backend testing.
• Version Control & Tools: Experience with JIRA for bug tracking and Git for version control.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software testing/quality assurance.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
